Our Community

Global Impact Producers Assembly (GIPA) is an international community of impact practitioners, documentary filmmakers, film enthusiasts, activists, impact media funders and community organizers who believe in the power of storytelling as a catalyst for social change. We seek to continuously connect, strengthen, share and build coalitions imagining the possibility of a global, independent distribution network for social issue media and impact campaigns:

• We emphasize global, aiming to decentralize impact producing by creating this community led network, listening to you and your region. 

• Create an accessible and inclusive space, acting in solidarity by sharing our knowledge and experiences with one another. 

• Celebrate, innovate and center around collective care. 

• Transparency and accountability through non extractive, anti competitive impact producing as we are flexible, compassionate and supportive.

Criteria for GIPA Membership:

1. Based anywhere in the world

2. Be an active practitioner in the impact field (i.e. worked on an impact campaign, or have taken at least one lab, training, or course related to the impact field)

3. Have a demonstrable justice-centred practice in your media work. 

4. Align with GIPA Values as stated above
